Forest Friends

About us

With the recent reduction in Forest Service workers, many of our beloved trails and parks are in need of extra care. As a small group of dedicated individuals, we have taken it upon ourselves to help maintain these spaces while we enjoy the outdoors. Whether it's clearing debris, trimming overgrown paths, or picking up litter, we believe that every small effort makes a difference in preserving the beauty of our natural surroundings.

Our work is a simple but meaningful way to fill the gap left by staffing shortages. We don’t see ourselves as a replacement for the hardworking professionals who care for these lands, but rather as a community coming together to lend a helping hand. By incorporating trail maintenance into our own hikes, we hope to do our part in keeping these spaces safe and accessible for everyone.

We also see this as an opportunity to inspire others. When people witness small acts of stewardship, they are often encouraged to do the same. Our hope is that by taking care of these trails today, we can create a culture of care and respect for nature that lasts for generations to come. If you share our love for the outdoors and want to help, we welcome you to join us in making a difference—one hike at a time.
